1.Requirement Collection

We begin by collecting inputs such as:

  • Site dimensions and layout

  • Purpose of the structure (warehouse, shed, mezzanine, LGS room, etc.)

  • Load information (if available) and special considerations (e.g., cranes, solar)

How Do We Design

At Steelcon Engineering, our design process is based on engineering principles, accurate structural analysis, and site practicality. We combine experience and software-based calculation tools to deliver safe and buildable designs.

2.Structural Concept & Framing System

We determine the structural layout and member types based on usage — e.g., clear span frames, multi-span, or modular LGS framing.

3.Load Analysis & Member Design

We use a combination of MBS (Metal Building Software), STAAD Pro, and SAP2000 to perform:

  • Load distribution analysis (dead load, live load, wind/seismic if needed)

  • Frame reactions and base shear calculations

  • Member sizing (rafters, columns, purlins, girts)

  • Deflection and stress checks

4.2D/3D Modeling & Drafting

Using AutoCAD and Tekla Structures, we prepare:

  • Layouts (plan + elevation)

  • Cross-sections and assembly details

  • Anchor bolt plans and base plate drawings

  • Gusset & connection detailing

5.BOQ & Material Estimation

  • A complete Bill of Quantities (BOQ) is generated based on the finalized design, including steel members, sheets, fasteners, insulation, and accessories.

6.Final Output Package

  • You receive:

    • Editable DWG files and PDFs

    • 3D rendered views (if needed)

    • BOQ sheet with steel weights and material summary

    • Support for minor revisions or coordination with your fabrication team
